Let’s face it. White knuckle weight loss and forced fitness DON’T WORK!

And I did it while eating only foods that I like. And without the struggle. And exercising less than ever before.
But it wasn’t always so…
You see, I have what I call a “long and colorful” diet and exercise history.
To be more exact, 30 years of constantly battling weight, being at war with food and my body, and not having the lasting success OR real results that I craved, no matter what I did.
No matter how hard I tried I just couldn’t seem to realize the dream I was looking for: lasting weight loss, high energy, great shape..and good eating.
Without being a slave to diet and exercise. I craved a simple solution that eluded me for decades.
Would you believe that I even got my M.A. in Physical Education along the way.
Yet lasting time in the weight loss winner’s circle still eluded me.
My Defining Moment…
The turning point came for me over 10 12 years ago when I became, ultimately, exhausted and discouraged from the constant battle.
I was working full time during the day, teaching fitness at night, and squeezing my own workouts in between while meticulously trying to manage my diet, with intermittent and hard won results.
It all came to a head one day that I clearly remember. It was the culmination of a growing feeling that finally peaked.
Picture this: I walked in the door after a long day at work, weary and sweaty from yet another 1 1/2 hour workout at the gym.
My gym back was digging into one shoulder while my case of documents carved into the other. I was tired and hungry, and just wanted to lay down, eat, and sleep!
Here’s the thing…
What watered that “growing feeling” was the fact that as hard as I was working and as carefully as I was managing my diet, I was getting diminishing returns.
I was, essentially, eating less, exercising more, and slowly gaining anyway.
Tal k about not fair!
None of it was giving me what I really wanted anyway, which was the pleasure of fitness with freedom to eat and get on with my life, too!
Pursuit of The Dream…
It was at this point that I decided there must be a way to have my fitness dream: to be slim and energetic, enjoy what I ate, exercise a little, and live the life that I love. I believed completely in this possibility.
My vision as my guide, I stepped forward with the belief that I would find the solutions that would deliver.
And that is exactly what happened!
I started to enjoy astonishing, successful results, including eating freedom and an activity approach that demands very little “workout” time and yet gave me oodles of energy to be as enjoyably active as I liked!

P.S. The work I do with Lani is so worth it!! I am soooooooooooo dripping after each workout tweak we do. But more important is that she works it for ME – there is so much I can’t do yet, or don’t understand how to do, and she just figures out another way for me to do it!

I am thrilled with the results I have gotten from taking this program.
Early on, Lani told me, “Change your mind, change your body, change your life” and that is exactly what has happened for me.
When I signed up for the class, I wasn’t really sure what we would be doing, but I am a rule follower, so I thought Lani would tell me eat “these foods”, stay away from other foods, and do these exercises.
I thought that was all I really needed to know, what foods to eat and what exercises to do.
Well, I did eventually get to the point of knowing what I needed to eat and how I needed to workout, but there was a process that I needed to go through first.
Before I began the program, I would eat healthy, but only for a few weeks, or I would work out really hard, but again, only for a few weeks.
Now, I am consistently eating healthy, and when I do eat bread, or dessert, I know it is going to be fine.
Before this program, I would spend most days mentally beating myself up about my workouts or diet. Now, I am in control of my eating and workouts. I don’t obsess about food any more.
I have lost about 5 pounds during the few weeks of this program. I have also lost an inch and a half from my waist. The two body parts I wanted to focus on during this class, were my abs and arms. Well, with the weight loss , my abs are more defined and my arms are noticeably smaller.
I would recommend this program to anyone who has tried every diet or fitness program out there, but felt like there had to be a smarter, better way.
Now, I am armed with the tools necessary to continue this lifestyle.
I learned that it’s not only okay to take care of myself, but it’s imperative that I do so, in order to be able to take care of others.
